【K9】
This gold contains 37.5% gold. It is particularly prevalent in the UK. For this reason, it is commonly referred to as Royal Gold or British Gold, and is considered a romantic type of gold.
Compared to K18...
It is about 20% lighter, and because it contains a larger amount of alloying metal, caution is needed for those with metal allergies. Furthermore, it is highly likely to discolor if worn in hot springs or the sea, so care should be taken when using it daily. However, it is harder than K18 gold, so it is less prone to scratches.
【K18】
The gold content is 75%. This is the type of gold commonly used in Japanese jewelry.
Compared to the K9...
It has a luxurious feel and high quality, and because of its high gold content, it is extremely unlikely to cause allergic reactions. Furthermore, it rarely tarnishes in normal daily life, making it suitable for long-term use. You can wear it casually without having to remove it every time you go to a hot spring, the sea, or use detergent (though tarnishing can occasionally occur, so caution is advised). However, it is softer than K9 gold and therefore more prone to scratches.
[pt950]
Pt950 is 95% pure platinum that meets international standards. Therefore, it's a material often used by high-end brands overseas. Incidentally, Pt900 (90% platinum) is more commonly used in Japan.
Compared to gold, it is more durable and can be used for a lifetime. Furthermore, it rarely causes allergic reactions. For these reasons, it is often used for bridal rings.
Due to its specific gravity, it is heavier than K18 gold.
